Highlighting some of the tools and projects I've worked on over the past few years. Getting out of my comfort zone to learn and implement new things.
Seamlessly integration between OnPrem and Saas solutions, requires not only technical knowledge but experience. Building for security while ensuring data accessibility, is always a challenge. This gets even more complicated when dealing with Mergers and Acquisitions
- Lead integrations between Saas and On-Prem solutions, using avaiable technologies and platforms.
- Identity merging and provisioning automation for acquired companies, replacing the need for service desk tickets and manual onboarding.
- FaaS to replace traditional standard servers, with the goal of decreasing costs for little used services.
- Migrated wordpress sites to static website hosting (AWS and Azure)(CI/CD DevOps for managing changes). This was done for 2 reasons, site security and cost reduction
- AWS Web application using EC2 instances with autoscaling for managing load and availability
- Amazon LightSail, to host several personal projects and for test development.
On-Prem is dead!!! Long live the cloud!!!! Well not exactly, but the cloud does even the field between large corporations and startups, and gives access to recources that would otherwise be unavailable for smaller orgs.
Full Stack Development is the gift that keeps on giving. Need something custom, no problem. Have a cool idea, go ahead and build it. Most of my work related stack were for internal use purposes.
- Full Asset Management system C#, mssql
- Full asset management system php, mysql, jquery
- Expense Tracking system AngularJS Sharepoint
- Voting system AngularJS Sharepoint
- Full Stack website development (Vuejs, PHP, MYSQL)
- Full Stack website development (Vuejs, PYTHON, DynamoDB)
- Full Stack website development (AngularJS, PYTHON, DynamoDB)
- Migrate identified sensitive data to a secure share (python, sqlite, bash, dos).
- Parse data to provide (insert random request from extrenal team), (powershell, beanshell)
- Automate building applications in identity platfors (powershell, csv, SOAP)
- Log aggregation compression and migration VBS, 7-zip
- Website migration prioritization based on usage and access VBS
- Custom compliance checks Shell
- Linux account creation automation Shell
Scripting is probably the skill I use most on a daily basis, there is always something that needs automation or parsing or solving and if it'sa 20 minute manual task, I'd much rather take and hour and write a script to solve it.
When I transitioned to Cyber Security, I specialized as a SME in vulnerability management and sensitive data discovery (identifying remediating)
- Nexpose Security Scanner
- Tanium's Compliance Modue
- Tanium's Sensitive Data Discovery Module
- Tanuim's Threat Response Module
- Ansible used to configure and manage Linux web servers
- SaltStack also used to configure and manage Linux web servers
- Terraform/Tofu (Cloud Agnostic)deploy cloud configurations / applications
- AWS systems manager (manage cloud and on-prem machines)
And let's not forget orchestration. Building suff by hand is time-consuming, in-efficient and can lead to misconfigurations. Ochestrations ensures that this doesn't happen.
